At OdorPi, our goal is to build an electronic nose for early disease diagnostics. This means there are a lot of hard problems on the way there – some of which we’ve already solved. But we’re still very early in our journey and we can only continue on this slope of development by staying true to our culture of low ego, high ambition and high performance.

As we grow, I’m very happy to announce our first two scientists leading core pillars of our R&D.

Matas Petreikis, PhD has joined the team as our Head of Electronics. He possesses a strong track record of independent research, having obtained an MRes degree in Electronics from the University of Cambridge (2019).  He recently completed his PhD in Electronics from UCL, where he focused on fabricating oxygen sensors for healthcare. He leads the charge on all things electronics – analog circuit design and sensor tuning.

Molly Parry, PhD joins us as a Lead Research Scientist. She brings extensive lab experience in synthetic and analytical chemistry – independently deriving unique synthesis routines for targeted material properties. She completed her PhD research and MRes in Advanced Molecular Synthesis at Imperial, focusing on synthesis and tuning of the degradation of polyethylene. The work was aimed at reducing pollution by catalysing plastics to safely degrade in the environment. This underscores her drive to have a real world impact by translating scientific breakthroughs into industrial applications.

Now, I'm more excited than ever about what we'll build going forward. As a team, we remain committed to pushing the frontier on digitising smell - and having fun while doing so.
